On any given Friday night at 820 S State St, the parking lot fills up early. That's taco night, and it draws a crowd for good reason. The spread is generous, the drinks are cold, and the room hums with conversation between members who've known each other for years and newcomers getting their first real look at what lodge life is about. A 4.7-star rating across 37 reviews doesn't happen by accident.

Thursday evenings bring a different energy. The Texas Hold'em tournament pulls in poker players from across Hancock County, filling the room with the satisfying shuffle of chips and the low murmur of competitive strategy. Between hands, there's bar food and drinks, and there's always someone willing to explain the rules if you're just learning.

Elks Lodge #1720 has been part of Greenfield's social fabric in ways that go beyond any single night. Members show up for each other, volunteer in the community, and keep the doors open for the kind of low-key, genuinely welcoming gathering that's harder to find than it used to be. If you've been curious about what goes on inside, the answer is simpler than you'd expect: good people, good games, and a cozy room that feels like it was built for exactly this.

What We Offer

The Lodge runs a packed weekly calendar that gives members something to look forward to every few days. Friday night dinners rotate through crowd favorites like taco bars, fish fries, and other hearty spreads that members and their guests line up for well before serving time. The kitchen keeps things fresh and the portions honest.

Card players have a dedicated home here. The Thursday poker tournament is a regular fixture, and euchre nights bring out a loyal crew who appreciate both the competition and the company. The bar stays open during events, offering drinks and lighter bar-food bites to keep everyone fueled.

Beyond the weekly schedule, Elks Lodge #1720 hosts private events and special gatherings for members throughout the year. The space is comfortable and unpretentious, the kind of room where a first-time visitor feels settled in after about ten minutes.
